Abstract

This deliverable continues the documentation of the work done within DIOMEDES workpackage 3. While D3.1 focused on the generation of content for later processing and evaluation, D3.2 and D3.3 provide a detailed look at the applied principles and planned structures of video and audio processing. These sections of the document are strongly interconnected with the overall system architecture that is described in D2.2. An important part of this document deals with modelling of quality of experience perception and attention. The description of both aspects complements the audio-visual structure of the DIOMEDES architecture.

The summary of the WP3 work given with this document will directly be used to implement and integrate the first stage of a running DIOMEDES demonstrator system. The crucial core components of the whole processing architecture are described. Their interconnections related to the adaptation decision process are highlighted.

This deliverable presents the results of refinement work in module design for processing modules (like rendering modules) and for controlling modules (like adaptation decision modules). The first results of QoE model design are shown. The experimental contributions to these models are presented as strategies or as descriptions of already conducted tests and first results.
