Abstract
This report is a short supporting document for Deliverable D 4.1.2 (first JPA D 4.2) of the IST NoE AIM@SHAPE. The actual deliverable D 4.1.2 – Annual Workshop of PhD students – was an event, namely a gathering of young network researchers in the wider sense (including both PhD students and recent PhDs) to exchange ideas, present their work and in general interact with their peers from different partner institutions within the network. To save efforts and reduce traveling, the consortium found it convenient to combine this event with another training activity of the network, namely the Summer School on Open Software for Algebraic and Geometric Computation. Both these events were organized by Bernard Mourrain from partner INRIA at Sophia-Antipolis, France, September 5-9, 2005.
