Abstract
This document describes the purpose and methodology currently being used within the Tripod project to collect georeferenced images for testing and evaluation of Tripod services and the Tripod system. For evaluation purposes a detailed protocol has been developed which ensures that image selection is independent of the photographer, and which should allow for detailed evaluation of chained Tripod services. Currently, a total of over 10000 georeferenced images have been collected, of which over 2000 have been collected according to the evaluation protocol, these totals are effectively double those aimed for in MSTN 1 (RES 4).
