Abstract

This report describes project activities related to Task 6.2 of Work Package 6 – “Digital Rights Management”, which is made up of the following sub-tasks:

Task 6.2.1 - “Design DRM architecture adapted to a P2P network”

Task 6.2.2 - “Comparison between MPEG-21 and OMA DRM”

In this document the most relevant approaches which could be used for implementing a DRM architecture in SAPIR are described and the selection of the best solution according to the SAPIR requirements is discussed.

The implementation of a solution to perform searches of governed content in a P2P network is described in Deliverable D6.3 and is based on the analysis presented here.

The development of the software prototype and its integration within the SAPIR architecture will be the main objective of Deliverable D6.4 (M24).
