Abstract
This deliverable provides a description of the streaming techniques and related issues that will be used in DIOMEDES. In particular, it describes the techniques for two main streaming scenarios: streaming over IP network using P2P and streaming within the User Terminal over local dedicated network. In addition, the report describes how streaming is combined with the scalability that the encoder enables, to allow adaptation for different network limitations. The report describes how synchronisation is achieved for all the streams while different multi-views and audio data are transmitted over DVB-T2 and different P2P paths. A test that compares P2P streaming and state of the art client-server adaptive streaming was conducted. The results also reveal how different parameters influence the streaming.
