Abstract

In BOEMIE, semantics extraction from multimedia content involves both visual (images, video) and non-visual content (text, audio/speech). The present report focuses on extraction from non-visual content, and aims to present the state of the art methods and systems, and discuss the current trends and open issues that will motivate the relevant research work in the context of the project.
