Projects and Activities

OntoCommons, 2020-2023

OntoCommons is an H2020 CSA project dedicated to the standardisation of data documentation across all domains related to materials and manufacturing. It lays the foundation for interoperable, harmonised and standardised data documentation through ontologies, facilitating data sharing and pushing data-driven innovation, to bring out a Digital Single Market and new business models for European industry, exploit the opportunities of digitalisation and address sustainability challenges.

EOSC Secretariat, 2019-2021

EOSCSecretariat.eu addressed the need for the set-up of an operational framework supporting the overall governance of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Led by a lean consortium of experienced and complementary partners, the project maintained a practical approach to address all the specific needs of the coordination structure expected by the EOSC.

LEARN, 2015-2017

LEARN has created resources to help Research Performing Institutions manage their research data. Using the LERU Roadmap for Research Data as a starting point, LEARN has produced freely-accessible materials such as a Toolkit of Best Practice for Research Data Management, 20 RDM Best-Practice Recommendations and Core Elements of an RDM Policy.

e-Infrastructures Austria, 2014-2016

The project e-Infrastructures Austria was initiated in 2014 by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and the Economy (German: BMWFW) to promote coordinated expansion and the further development of repository infrastructures throughout Austria in order to ensure the secure archiving and provision of electronic publications, multimedia objects and other digital data from research and teaching.
