Activities
- EOSC TF Researcher Engagement and Adoption, EOSC Association, Member, since 2022
- The EOSC TF Researcher Engagement and Adoption aims at engaging diverse research communities to increase their participation in EOSC. The engagement is conducted along and between disciplinary lines, utilising the achievements of the ESFRIs and thematic services. On a country basis, national initiatives, research performing organisations, scientific institutions as well as representative bodies are to be involved.
- WG Researcher Engagement in Austria, EOSC Support Office Austria / Austrian EOSC Mandated Organization, Coordinator, since 2021
- The EOSC needs to meet the requirements and needs of daily research in Austria, all while increasing the acceptance of EOSC services within the Austrian research landscape. Thus, the WG Researcher Engagement in Austria contributes to the identification of the research communities’ requirements and needs in order to support researchers in actively shaping the EOSC (through feeding their feedback to the EOSC TF to e.g. update the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA)). A balanced participation from disciplines and institutions in Austria is aspired.
- EOSC Support Office Austria / Austrian EOSC Mandated Organization, Coordinator / Secretariat, since 2021
- The EOSC Support Office Austria / Austrian EOSC Mandated Organization was created within the framework of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and the EOSC Association. It aims at making a coordinated Austrian contribution to realise EOSC as well as at developing an Austrian strategic agenda regarding EOSC. The EOSC Support Office Austria / Austrian EOSC Mandated Organizatio is committed to the Open Science movement.
Projects
- EOSC Focus, Task Lead / Researcher Engagement, 2022-2023
- EOSC Focus supports the European Commission, the EOSC Steering Board and the EOSC Association in establishing Open Science as the “new normal” and works with the EOSC Association Board of Directors to advance the EOSC Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and the EOSC monitoring framework. Addittionally, it offers coordination and operational support to the EOSC Association Task Forces.
- Skills4EOSC, Task Lead / Stakeholder Engagement, 2022-2023
- Skills4EOSC intends to advance Open Science skills by unifying the current training landscape into a common and trusted pan-European ecosystem through connecting existing Competence Centres in open science and scientific data management. In other words, it aims at developing common methodologies, activities and training resources and providing dedicated community-specific support to leverage the potential of EOSC for open and data-intensive research.
- OntoCommons, 2020-2023
- OntoCommons is an H2020 CSA project dedicated to the standardisation of data documentation across all domains related to materials and manufacturing. It lays the foundation for interoperable, harmonised and standardised data documentation through ontologies, facilitating data sharing and pushing data-driven innovation, to bring out a Digital Single Market and new business models for European industry, exploit the opportunities of digitalisation and address sustainability challenges.
- EOSC Secretariat, 2019-2021
- EOSCSecretariat.eu addressed the need for the set-up of an operational framework supporting the overall governance of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Led by a lean consortium of experienced and complementary partners, the project maintained a practical approach to address all the specific needs of the coordination structure expected by the EOSC.
- LEARN, 2015-2017
- LEARN has created resources to help Research Performing Institutions manage their research data. Using the LERU Roadmap for Research Data as a starting point, LEARN has produced freely-accessible materials such as a Toolkit of Best Practice for Research Data Management, 20 RDM Best-Practice Recommendations and Core Elements of an RDM Policy.
- e-Infrastructures Austria, 2014-2016
- The project e-Infrastructures Austria was initiated in 2014 by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and the Economy (German: BMWFW) to promote coordinated expansion and the further development of repository infrastructures throughout Austria in order to ensure the secure archiving and provision of electronic publications, multimedia objects and other digital data from research and teaching.
