SPEAKER OF RUSSIAN STATE DUMA MEETS WITH PRESIDENT OF IRAN








MOSCOW, March 14, 2001. /From RIA Novosti correspondent Pavel Shevtsov/. Gennady Seleznev, Chairman of Russia's State Duma (Lower House of Parliament), had a meeting with President of Iran Mohammad Khatami, currently in Russia on an official visit. Present at the meeting was also Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Vice-Speaker from the faction of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, and Artur Chilingarov, Vice-Speaker of the Lower House, who represents the interests of the Regiony Rossii deputy group.


	No further details of the meeting have been reported so far.
