UNITY FACTION TO BOYCOTT VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN CABINET MOSCOW, March 13, 2001. /From RIA Novosti correspondent Arina Dovgan/--The Unity faction has decided to boycott the vote of no confidence in the Cabinet. According to faction leader Boris Gryzlov, the Unity has called on the State Duma deputies to abstain from voting. Gryzlov, who thinks the initiative to pass a vote of no confidence was a "political farce on the part of the CPRF," is convinced that the State Duma will vote down the issue, although he says the 108 deputies who signed the letter of no confidence in the government may still decide to vote.
