HEART TROUBLE LAYS UP DETAINED BORODIN MOSCOW, MARCH 12 (from RIA Novosti's Alexander Shishlo) - Detained in the Brooklyn prison, New York City, Pavel Borodin is laid up for two days with a heart problem. The Russo-Belarussian union State Secretary is getting all the medicines he needs, and will probably undergo an all-round medical examination, says Ivan Makushok, his press spokesman, who had a telephone talk with Borodin today. Prison authorities allowed a Russian Embassy doctor to see the detainee, say Heinrich Padva and Eleonora Sergeyeva, his lawyers, who are alarmed after top prison officers refused to inform them about the client's health a few days ago. Pavel Borodin was feeling real bad, Saturday, and spent two hours in an oxygen mask, says Mr. Padva. The lawyers insist on top-notch specialists examining their client alongside prison doctors.
