FRIENDLY RUSSIAN WARSHIPS VISIT VIETNAM HANOI, March 12. /Anatoly Shamshin, RIA Novosti correspondent/. A group of Russian Navy warships moored in the Saigon harbor of Ho Shi Minh, a large Vietnamese city, on Monday. The Admiral Vinogradov and the Admiral Panteleyev, large submarine hunters under the flag Commander of the Pacific Fleet, Vice-Admiral Alexander Konev, have since last January visited India and have now arrived in Vietnam on a friendly official visit. Military attache of the Russian Embassy in Vietnam, Colonel Chuprynov, announced that while in Ho Chi Minh, the sailors will meet the Vietnamese naval command and personnel. They will take part in sports competitions and have a sightseeing tour. Ho Chi Minh locals will get a chance to climb aboard the Russian warships.
