KREMLIN CONFIRMS DETENTION OF CHECHEN BANDIT IN BAKU MOSCOW, March 11. /From RIA Novosti correspondent/. The arrest of Chechen bandit Ruslan Akhmadov was confirmed in the apparatus of Sergei Yastrzhembsky, aide to the Russian President. The bandit was detained in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Sunday. According to Russian law-enforcement bodies, the Akhmadov brothers specialized in trading in people. The Kremlin has also confirmed that another bandit was detained together with Akhmadov -- a close associate of the notorious Chechen terrorist Basayev. Sergei Yastrzhembsky's apparatus refused to give any details of the circumstances of the arrest for reasons of the interests of investigation.
