NO OBSTACLES TO OSCE GROUP RESUMING ITS WORK IN CHECHNYA, SAYS RUSSIA'S FOREIGN MINISTRY MOSCOW, March 7. /RIA Novosti correspondent Yelena Glushakova/. There are no obstacles to the OSCE group resuming its work in the Chechen Republic, Alexandru Cornea, head of the OSCE group in the Chechen Republic, was assured in the Russian Foreign Ministry, RIA Novosti was told in the Foreign Ministry's press and information department. Spokesmen for the Foreign Ministry's all European cooperation department wished the new head of the group "early arrival in Znamenskoye from Moscow". Cornea was also told of Russia's interest in the international personnel of the group working under the existing mandate in close contact with federal authorities and local administration. Cornea, in his turn, emphasised his intention "to cooperate in a constructive way with the Russian side" and also to "ensure an early return of the group to Chechnya," according to the department.
