On Tuesday night a meeting of protest against the dumping in the ocean of the Russian space station Mir was held in the center of Moscow. Approximately 50 people and ten shooting groups of different, mostly foreign, television companies were gathered. Organizers of the meeting said it was held on the initiative of the Fund for Support of Space Research. The RIA Novosti correspondent reports that participants mostly lamented lack of public interest in their gathering. After a fuss before cameramen young people quickly dispersed.
