THREE BANKS TO OPEN IN CHECHNYA STAVROPOL, MARCH 6. /FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT VALERY OLYANCHUK/ -- Three banks - the Chechen State Bank and two agricultural ones - Rosselkhozbank and Polevoi - are opening in Chechnya, Minister of the Press and TV and Radio Broadcasting of Chechnya Vasily Vasilenko said in Stavropol on Tuesday. According to him, the decision to open three banks in Chechnya was taken at the meeting of Prime-Minister of the Chechen Republic Stanislav Ilyasov with Vice-Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Tatyana Paramonova. The leadership of Chechnya attaches paramount importance to the shaping of the banking system and reckons on all-round support at the federal level because it is impossible to raise the republic's economy without a reliable banking system, Vasilenko noted.
