RUSSIAN CULTURE MINISTER: TALIBAN'S BEHAVIOUR IS "INADMISSIBLE" MOSCOW, March 5, 2001. /From RIA Novosti correspondent Nikolai Valkovsky/--In a RIA Novosti interview, Culture Minister Mikhail Shvydkoi condemned Taliban's actions as "inadmissible for a civilized country." Even though history knows cases when cultural and religious monuments of different peoples got destroyed, such actions can hardly be justified nowadays, believes Shvydkoi. Anyway, "these actions cannot go on any longer" because Afghanistan will have to consider other states' opinion sooner or later, said the minister.
