RUSSIAN 'LITERATURE AND FILM - GARNET BRACELET' FILM FESTIVAL CLOSES ST. PETERSBURG, March 3. /Svetlana Chikirova, RIA Novosti correspondent/. A Slava Tsukerman movie "The Poor Lisa" took the grand prix of the 7th "Literature and Film - Garnet Bracelet" Russian Film Festival on Saturday. The festival press service spokeswoman, Irina Vasilyeva, revealed that the jury's great prize was awarded to Alexei Uchitel's "His Wife's Diary". The jury's special prizes went to Sergei Seryoguin's "Lukomorye. The Nurse" and Yevgeny Rostovsky's "The Gentle One". Best actress and best actor were awarded, respectively, to Galina Tyunina and Andrei Smirnov, starring in Alexei Uchitel's "His Wife's Diary" as Muromtseva-Bunina and Ivan Bunin respectively. Best female debut went to Yelena Morozova, who played Margy in the same movie. Sergei Yesin, president of the Moscow-based Gorky Literature Institute, has chaired the festival jury since the start. According to Irina Vasilyeva, 22 movies took part in the competition, with only screenings of writers' and playwrights' works allowed. In addition, a unique programme of retrospective off-contest showings was set up at the festival, courtesy of the State Film Fund, dedicated to this year's anniversaries. Over 70 movies were shown in the programme.
