GROUP OF TERRORISTS DETAINED IN CHECHEN VILLAGE OF DZHALKA KHANKALA, March 2. /RIA Novosti correspondent Alexander Stepanov/. A group of 13 terrorists was detained at the Chechen village of Dzhalka at dawn on Friday, FSB spokesman Alexander Zdanovich said. The operation took only 10 minutes and the bandits had no time to put up resistance. According to available information, this group was involved in a series of crimes on the railway and motor road between Argun and Gudermes. They committed their latest crime three days ago, when they fired on a UAZ vehicle. As a result, two servicemen were wounded and one officer killed. The militants have already confessed to some of their crimes. They related, for example, that for blasting an armoured train they were paid 5,000 dollars each by separatist warlords. Rates for planting land mines and firing on motor vehicles were lower - from one thousand roubles to 100 dollars. Money is known to be coming from Saudi Arabia. At the moment the criminals are in a pre-trial detention centre of the Russian Justice Ministry's unit in Khankala.
