BELARUS PRESIDENT VOICES SUPPORT FOR MOLDOVA'S NEW PARLIAMENT MINSK, March 1. /From RIA Novosti correspondent Olesya Luchaninova/. President Aleksander Lukashenko of Belarus came up with support for Moldova's new parliament Thursday describing the country's parliamentary election outcomes as wonderful. When commenting on the communists' victory at the parliamentary poll in Moldova, the president said: "Regaining a victory are the forces that have already won a victory in Belarus. They are the people advocating the policy of rapprochement between Belarus and Russia and Moldova". President Lukashenko did not rule out the possibility that Moldova may want to join the Union of Russia and Belarus. "When they [Moldovan MPs] gather and voice their desire to join the Russo-Belarussian Union, I personally will back them with all my heart", he said adding that Ukraine could as well consider entering the Union. Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, who is believed to disprove of the idea of joining the Union, could have made some moves towards rapprochement, said the Belarussian president.
