KIEV POLICE DETAIN ANTI-KUCHMA PROTESTERS KIEV, MARCH 1, 2001. /RIA-NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT VICTOR DEMIDENKO/ -- 44 protesters taking part in the campaign Ukraine Without Kuchma were detained in downtown Kiev today during the demolition of their tent town. According to police officers, they resisted police details and were subsequently taken to district police stations. The afore-said tent town was demolished in line with a verdict by the city's Starokiev district court. All those, who participated in the campaign Ukraine Without Kuchma, demanded the immediate resignation of President Leonid Kuchma, Prosecutor-General Mikhail Potebenko and Interior Minister Yury Kravchenko. In their opinion, the three men are involved in the murder of Kiev journalist Georgy Gongadze.
