THE CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF RUSSIA PROPOSES CREER " FUNDS OF
THE FREE ELECTIONS "







MOSCOW, March 7.  / Corr.  RIA " Novosti " Nikolai MAKAROV /. the
central electoral commission of Russia (CEC) took the initiative of
creer " funds of the free elections ".  Reunis Wednesday, the Members
of the Commission supported the idee of such a nongovernmental
organization.




Like pointed out the president of the CEC, Alexandre Vechniakov, the
Funds has the role the principal " education of the legal culture and
the democratic traditions ".  Several social associations are
fondatrices.




According to Vechniakov, the specialists of the Funds will practise
consultations on the problems of the electoral legislation to help has
to fight the electoral malhonnetes and defamatory techniques.




The president of CEC A stresses that " the Funds will not depensera a
public money penny for its development ".  " It will be finance by
sponsors preoccupes by the problems of the development of the
democratic elections in our country ", he concluded.
