RUSSIAN COURT OF AUDITORS SE PRONOUNCES FOR AN ECOLOGICAL PROGRAMME OF
CLEANSING OF THE BALTIC








MOSCOW, March 6.  (Corr. Ria " Novosti " Olga Chtcherbatcheva).  The
persons in charge of the Russian Court of Auditors emphasized the
necessite adoption of a programme of improvement of the ecological
situation in the basin of the Baltic and of preservation of the
natural systems of this area, has advertisement Tuesday the direction
of the information and the public relations of the Court of Auditors.


The absence of such a program empeche Russia to fill its international
engagements within the framework of the Helsinki Convention for the
environmental protection of the area of the Baltic, have note the
persons in charge.  A target project of program has ete prepare in
1997, but the Russian government still does not have it enterine, have
