FACTORIES AVTOVAZ WITH THE SHOW OF GENEVA








GENEVA, March 1.  / Corr.  RIA " Novosti " Alexei Lipovetski /. the
Show of the Car of Geneva opened its gates Thursday.  On a surface of
6 hectares, 300 automobile companies of 30 countries of the world
presentent their 900 modeles there.  This year, the Show should know a
record number of visitors, according to its organizers.  Last year,
there is ete records 720 000 entrees.




The Russian company AvtoVAZ which takes part in the Show will
presentera its modeles of export there, Lada 2111, 2112, 110 and its
Niva cross-country.  Wednesday, has a press conference, the persons in
charge of the Russian company have presente new a joint-venture, cree
with the americain General Motors, with an aim of launching new
modeles of Niva, in order to export them in Europe and in Mexico.




The contribution americaine is estimee has 100 million dollars and
that of AvtoVAZ has 35 million.  The technology of production of Niva
is estimee has 65 million dollars.  The European Bank of rebuilding
and development has of its dimension pours with the project 60
million.




President d' AvtoVAZ, Vladimir Kadannikov, has advertisement that the
diesel engines for the new cars are already produced by the Factories
Barnaoultransmash (Siberie of the South), within the framework of a
joint company with Austrian company AVL.




The international Show of Geneva which will last until 11 March formed
part of the 20 principal automobile exposures of the world.
