THE LEADER OF THE RIGHT FORCES: THE ARGUMENTS IN FAVOUR OF THE VOTE OF NO-CONFIDENCE TO THE GOVERNMENT ARE "EMPTY" MOSCOW, March 14. /RIA Novosti correspondent Yekaterina Yefremova/. The arguments in favour of the no-confidence vote to the government lack logic, and they are "empty," said leader of the parliamentary faction the Union of Right Forces (SPS) Boris Nemtsov, addressing the plenary session of the State Duma (the Lower House of the Russian parliament). At the same time Boris Nemtsov pointed out that "the course should be changed," and that "there are basic problems which should be resolved." Under them he meant the reform of the law enforcement system, modernisation of the army and the solution of the problems in the municipal sphere. Yesterday, the SPS faction took a decision to vote against the no-confidence vote to the government. -O- (kos/ter) 14/03/01 13:32
