Speaker Gennady Seleznyov of the State Duma /lower parliamentary house/ and President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia discussed deputies' proposal to revise the decision to de-orbit the Mir station. Seleznyov said this at a plenary Duma session in response to the question by deputy Vladimir Volkov of the Communist faction. About a month ago the State Duma adopted a resolution recommending that the president and the government revise the decision to skuttle the Mir station.
