RUSSIA, IRAN CONDEMN EXTREMISM OF TALEBAN MOSCOW, MARCH 13. /RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT/ -- Russia and Iran have condemned the extremism of the Taleban movement, which is going on with its plans for resolving the Afghanistan issue by military means, its lack of desire to end supporting international terrorism, and illegal drug trafficking. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that this approach to the Afghanistan crisis was voiced on Tuesday during negotiations between foreign ministers Igor Ivanov of Russia and Kamal Kharrazi of Iran. Also, the sides also condemned the ethnic cleansings conducted by the Taleban and crude violation of the international humanitarian law norms. Igor Ivanov and Kamal Kharrazi stressed the importance to fulfil the UNSC resolution 1333 for creating conditions towards peaceful settlement of the Afghanistan crisis. (nov/nog)
