RUSSIA ASSIGNS PRIORITY TO PROTECTING FACILITIES FROM TERRORISTS VORONEZH, March 13, 2001. /From a RIA Novosti correspondent/. Russian Interior Ministry assigns top priority to protecting strategically important facilities from potential terrorist attacks. Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Rushailo, who is paying an inspection visit to Voronezh, said this at a press conference /Voronezh is a city in central Russia/. Guarding such facilities is part of the anti-terror operation that law-enforcers are conducting in all of Russia. After visiting the local atomic power plant, Rushailo said that his interest lay primarily with the security measures at the aforesaid facility. "The general impression is positive," said the minister. "The Interior Ministry in concert with the FSB /Federal Security Service/ spare no effort to ensure security at facilities of the kind."
