SERBIA SETS UP CRISIS SETTLEMENT COMMITTEE BELGRADE, MARCH 11(from RIA NOVOSTI'S SERGEI RYABIKIN) - Bujanovac, the centre of a southern Serbian district with a predominantly Albanian population, has been chosen as the headquarters of a government committee to curb Albanian separatists in the area. The committee has been entrusted with administering full control over the Serbian and Yugoslav security forces to be deployed in the buffer zone between Kosovo and Serbia proper. Its duties will boil down to endorsing plans of action for Serbian police and Yugoslav army units in the region as well as to directing their operations. Related news coverage will also be the responsibility of the committee, which is alone authorised to come out with reports and statements on the situation in the conflict-stricken area.
