GALA CLOSES FIRST '1,OOO CITIES OF RUSSIA' FESTIVAL








MOSCOW, March 9. /Yelizaveta Sviridova, RIA Novosti Correspondent/. Moscow's Gostiny Dvor will host the closing gala night of the first spring festival named "One Thousand Cities of Russia" on Friday.


	The festival kicked off in Moscow on March 6. It was organized by the "Mir Iskusstva" fund and held under the auspices of the international "World's Stars For the Children" movement, which has for several years supported challenged child prodigies.


	The festival programme included performances of the world opera diva Montserrat Caballe and her daughter Montserrat Marti, tenor Oskar Marin, violinist Anton Sorokin, and the famed ballerina Nina Ananiashvili.
