AGREEMENT ON CEASEFIRE IN THE SOUTH OF SERBIA TO BE SIGNED NEXT WEEK BELGRADE, March 4. /RIA Novosti's correspondent Sergei Ryabikin/. Next week an agreement on ending fire in the south of Serbia will be signed, as well as clauses on the security and aerial zones on the administrative border of Serbia and Kosovo will be revised and work on this agreement will begin. Serbian deputy prime minister Nebojsa Covic said this to journalists today. The RIA Novosti correspondent reports that, commenting on the official Albanian programme of negotiations for settling the situation in the south of Serbia, Covic noted that this document did not come as a surprise and three days ago was considered jointly with representatives of NATO and the European Union. To him, the Albanian programme 90 percent echoes that of the Serbian and Yugoslav governments towards resolving the crisis. On Saturday Serbian, Albanian and NATO representatives coordinated some of its items. Agreement has been reached with Albanians that platform-coordination negotiations will be conducted in the territory of Yugoslavia, Covic said.
