COMMUNIST LEADER: USA MEDDLES WITH UKRAINE'S INTERIOR AFFAIRS








MOSCOW, MARCH 2, 2001 /FROM A RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT/ -- The US State Department's statement on the recent events in Ukraine is a direct interference in the sovereign state's affairs. Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov said this Friday at a State Duma briefing. 


	In his opinion, this statement is part of the provocation on the part of US secret services, which aims at distancing Ukraine and Russia farthest possible and integrate Ukraine in NATO as well as to strip both Ukraine and Belarus of the opportunity to restore themselves in the post-Soviet era.
