SENATORS OF RUSSIA APPROVED OF THE TEXT THE STAATSHYMNE








MOSCOW, 14 March.  / RIA "Nowosti" rIA-"Nowosti"-Korrespondent Nikolai
Wenediktow /. the federation council (upper house of the parliament)
has the wording of the Staatshymne Russia (text:  Sergej Michalkow)
approved of.  The 87jaehrige poet Michalkow is an author of the text
of the Hymne of the ex USSR.

For this decision 141 senators were correct.  One was against it.

It must be stressed that the tuning took place at missing quorum in
accordance with authority.
