FRAGMENTS OF THE ORBITAL STATION " ME " REMAINING ON THE
SEA-BOTTOM








MOSCOW, 6 March.  (RIA "Nowosti" rIA-"Nowosti"-Korrespondent Eduard
Pusyrjow).  Specialists do not intend it to lift the unburned
fragments of the orbital station " me " from the sea-bottom after
their sinking.  This avowed former space fliers Sergej Awdejew,
prominent specialist of the rocket and space travel company " Energija
", before the press on Tuesday.  Awdejew spent altogether 748 days at
the station " me " and placed thus in this regard a record.  He
withdrew 10 times in the ALL.

" of the 130 tons heavy station into the Pacific only 25 to 40 tons
unburned fragments will come down ", specified Awdejew.  " those are
19 Gerodine, i.e. devices, with which the station in space is
oriented, heatproof items of the engines and some other components and
devices of the station. "  " the mode of production of these fragments
and building materials, from which they are made, contain naturally
certain secrets.  They are however in the mud on the reason of the
ocean hardly again discoverable ", said Awdejew.
