RUSSIA FOR GLOBAL FIGHT OF THE CORRUPTION








MOSCOW, 5 March (RIA "Nowosti" rIA-"Nowosti"-Korrespondent Alexander
Smotrow).  Russia regards efforts of the international community
toward the fight of the corruption as extremely important and explains
themselves ready to participate in this fight actively.  That said
Alexander Jakowenko, speaker of the Russian State Department, on
Monday on a press conference in Moscow.

As example of cooperating with the fight of the corruption Jakowenko
stated the co-operation of Russia with the organization for economic
co-operation and development, which proceed after words of the
diplomat within this area " seriously and professionally ".

The organization prepared among other things a convention for the
prevention of bribery of foreign office-holders at the time of the
termination of international commercial business.  To agreement with
the document the user countries of the convention should take up
regulations to its legislation over the legal responsibility for the
bribery own and international office-holders, said the Russian
diplomat.
