TURKMENIEN TOOK UP NATURAL GAS SUPPLIES TO RUSSIA








ASCHCHABAD, 5 March.  / Viktor Panow, korrespondent of the RIA "
Nowosti " /. on 3 March had taken up Turkmenien natural gas supplies
to Russia.  That indicated deputy government chairmen Turkmeniens on
Monday a coworker of the apparatus of Jella Gurbanmuradowa.

To agreement with the contract signatory between the government
Turkmeniens and the international group of societies " ITERA " are to
be supplied to Russia in this year 10 billion cubic meter natural gas
at a price of 40 dollar 1000 of cubic meters each.  The payments will
take place as follows:  50 per cent with goods and services and 50 per
cent in freely convertable currency.

2001 Turkmenien will supply according to valid contracts for the
export in northern direction 40 billion cubic meter gas / to 30 with
after billion the Ukraine and 10 billion to Russia /.
