POSITIVE BALANCE RUSSIAN AUSENHANDELSBILANZ MOSCOW, 1 March (of RIA Nowosti correspondent Alla Issajewa). The positive balance of the foreign trade balance of Russia amounted in the passed year to 61 billion US Dollar. This number was indicated by the office for government information. This result created prerequisites for an improvement of the status of the balance of payments of the country and for the guarantee of stability on the Russian foreign exchange market. Beyond that thereby the possibility was ordered to fulfill the commitments of the country in time without taking thereby means up of the international financial establishments. The world market economic situation favoured an enlargement of the export, which amounted 2000 to 105.2 billion US Dollar - 30 billion US Dollar more than in the year before -. The import at the same time grew from 39,6 to 44.2 billion US Dollar. Under the major tasks in the external trade policy of Russia the perfection of the laws over the adjustment of the foreign trade activities with consideration of the valid international legal rules was called. Beyond that an unconditional acknowledgment of the free market status of the Russian economy would have to be ensured. Important is also to continue the education of a uniform marketing area of the Russian-Byelorussian union and to create conditions for the recess of the economic integration with the GUS participating states. Beyond that the tuning of the main conditions for an entry RUsslands to the world trade organization must be concluded. The export of products with high processing state as well as the export of high-technological services must be increased.
