NO WRONGDOING REPORTED IN TATAR ELECTION CAMPAIGN








KAZAN, March 14, 2001. /From RIA Novosti correspondent Vladimir Shevchuk/. The election campaign in Tatarstan is being held without wrongdoing, said chairman of the central election commission of the republic Anatoly Fomin. /Tatarstan is a republic on the Volga river within Russia/. 


	Presidential elections are scheduled for March 25 and will include five competitors. Among them are incumbent president Mintimer Shaimiyev, State Duma /lower house/ deputies Ivan Grachyov and Sergei Shashurin, and others. Some candidates view Mintimer Shaimiyev as their main rival and sometimes pass insulting remarks on his behalf.
