FAR EAST ENERGY PROBLEMS TO FALL ON PRESIDENTIAL ENVOY PLENIPOTENTIARY VLADIVOSTOK, March 14, 2001. /From RIA Novosti correspondent Valery Ilyukhov/. Presidential envoy plenipotentiary to the Far Eastern Federal District Konstantin Pulikovsky has taken control over fuel and energy problems in Primorye /the Far East/ and preparations for the next heating season. The presidential envoy said this Wednesday upon his arrival in Vladivostok-the administrative centre in Primorye. Konstantin Pulikovsky is to stay in Primorye for three days. High on the agenda will be solution of the fuel and energy problems and preparations for the heating season of 2001-2002. Pulikovsky said that heads of the Primorye administration and municipal agencies would brief him on the situation. Among other important issues will be studying the current situation in the Nakhodka free economic zone and creating a Russia-Korea technical park there. To this end, the presidential envoy intends to tour Nakhodka /near Vladivostok/ and hold a conference there. South Korea, noted Pulikovsky, has ratified all the required documents. "Now it is Russia's turn. The issue is to be settled in the next few months," he stressed .
