MOSCOW URGES TO STEP UP NORMALIZATION IN PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES








MOSCOW, March 13 /from RIA Novosti's Anna Bobina/ - In the wake of the blockade imposed on the Palestinian-ruled city of Ramallah, Moscow is urging to step up efforts to bring the situation in the Palestinian Territories back to normal.


	Russia believes it necessary that the parties to the conflict resume interaction in the area of security, according to the Russian foreign ministry's information and press department. Moscow is calling on the Palestinians and the Israelis to display self-restraint and common sense in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict, said the ministry.


	Israel is using its military hardware to tighten the blockade of Ramallah. Palestine's attempt to break through encirclement installations brought new casualties.


	The continued isolation of the Palestinian National Authority affects Palestine-Israel relations and aggravates the regional economic situation.
