STAVROPOL TO HOST CONGRESS OF PEOPLES OF RUSSIA'S SOUTH IN JUNE YESSENTUKI, March 13 /from RIA Novosti's Edgar Saroyan/ - Stavropol, an administrative centre in the North Caucasus, is going to host a congress of the peoples of Russia's south, which is due to take place this next June. Leaders of the Slavic communities of southern Russia have adopted that resolution at a conference in Yessentuki, North Caucasus. Among others, to dominate the congress agenda is the problem of restoring peace in the North Caucasus. The Essentuki conference, chaired by the presidential envoy to the Southern Federal District, Viktor Kazantsev, also resolved to set up a coordinating centre of the Slavic communities, which will report to the presidential envoy's staff.
