NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS IN NORTH CAUCASIAN BORDER-GUARD UNITS MOSCOW, MARCH 12. /RIA NOVOSTI correspondent Alexander Smotrov/. Russian border-guards in the North Caucasus had no serious problems with the medical equipment, head of the Russian Federal Border-Guard Service's Medical Department Major-General Anatoli Ketchin informed the press. According to him, the medical treatment of the Russian border-guards in the region is nearly perfect, but still there are some problems. The general noted that unlike other "power" structures the Federal Border-Guard Service had a number of special medical facilities in the region, placed at frontier posts, commandant's offices, border-guard units. Outpatient examinations are carried even outside settlements. Anatoli Ketchin thanked medical services of other "power" structures including the Defence and Interior Ministry for providing medical aid.
