RUSSIAN DELEGATION COMES TO LEBANON FOR THE KIROVSKY DOM EXHIBITION OPENING








BEIRUT, MARCH 12, 2001. /RIA Novosti correspondent Igor  Popov/. A delegation of the Kirov Region of Russia (Volga area)  has arrived to Lebanon to take part in the opening of the  Kirovsky Dom permanent exhibition. 


	According to Alexei Pinayev, first deputy governor of the  Kirov Region, who heads the delegation, industrial enterprises in the region are prepared to deliver to Lebanon and other Middle East countries products of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, mechanical engineering, chemicals, mineral fertilisers, medicines, and various production technologies in large volumes.


	According to him, the success of the exhibition, which displays products of twenty-one enterprises of the region, may be conducive to the expansion of ties between the Lebanese business circles and various Russian regions.


	According to Rabih Farsoun, vice-president of the Lebanese industrial company International Ravmatimpex, "the example of cooperation between Lebanese industrialists and enterprises of the Kirov Region testifies to big potential of Russian-Lebanese economic relations."
