NORTH OSSETIAN POLICE IN COMBAT PREPAREDNESS








VLADIKAVKAZ, MARCH 12, 2001 /FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT VASILY VLASENKO/ -- Police and Interior Ministry Departments in North Ossetia /a North Caucasian republic/ are working multiple shifts in connection with a second stage of the operation Modzhahed which is currently in full swing. 


	The measure aims at preventing subversive and terrorist acts on the territory of the republic, and reinforcing law and order and public security. 


	According to the republic's interior ministry department, police details on duty have solved 26 crimes over the past three days.
