RUSSIAN PRESIDENT ON JUDICIAL REFORM FINANCING MOSCOW, March 12, 2001. /RIA Novosti correspondent Natalya Gorbunova/. President Vladimir Putin of Russia has instructed the government to work out issues related to extra financing the judicial reform in this country. The head of state made such a statement on Monday on opening the conference with Cabinet members in the Kremlin. He reminded that the other day he held a meeting with heads of Court of Arbitration and Supreme and Constitutional Courts. They discussed the judicial reform and modernisation of Russia's legal system. According to the president, the meeting's results revealed that "work in this direction will require additional financing." Vladimir Putin attracted the government's attention to this fact to make it "engage economic departments" and provide information about the funds to be needed.
