During the forthcoming elections of the Primorye governor the Russian president's administration will support the first deputy plenipotentiary representative of the head of state in the Far Eastern federal district Gennady Apanasenko, ex-governor of Primorye Yevgeny Nazdratenko said in Vladivostok. Nazdratenko, who now holds the post of head of the state committee on fisheries, decided not to struggle for governorship during the forthcoming elections. "I promised this to the Russian president", he said. The elections of the Primorye governor have been scheduled for May 27, this year, and 12 people have declared their desire to struggle for this post. They include political opponents of Yevgeny Nazdratenko -- director general of the Primorye steamship company Alexander Kirilichev and former mayor of Vladivostok, State Duma (the lower house of parliament) deputy Viktor Cherepkov.
