ESTONIA * PARLIAMENT * MINISTER * NO-CONFIDENCE-VOTE ESTONIAN MPs FOR NO-CONFIDENCE VOTE IN MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS TALLINN, MARCH 9, 2001 /FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT ALEKSANDER VERETENNIKOV/ -- Estonian parliament will discuss the motion of no-confidence in Minister of Transport and Communications Toivo Jurgenson on March 12. Forty-four law-makers forwarded this initiative on Thursday. They blame the minister for inability to control the ministry's activities, in particular for blunders related to the sale of 66 percent of shares of the Estonian railways. This year the company Rail Estonia won the contest for purchasing the Estonian railways. However, it failed to meet privatisation terms, i.e. to raise money for the railway development by February 28 and find a strategic partner. Besides, Massey-Angotti of the company's leadership turned out to be a gold-digger on the wanted list of the U.S. FBI for swindling. At present, Massey-Angotti is staying outside the country.
