NO EXPLOSIVE DEVICE FOUND IN MOSCOW HOTEL MOSCOW, MARCH 7, RIA NOVOSTI. The capital's law enforcement bodies have informed RIA Novosti that no explosive device has been discovered at Moscow's Ukraina (Ukraine) hotel. An anonymous caller claimed at 17.20 Moscow time that a device equivalent to 8 kg of TNT had been planted in the hotel's basement. Police, along with cynologists with sniffer dogs, ambulances and search and rescue teams arrived at the scene after the call was made. Officers conducted a thorough search of the premises of the hotel's basement, but found no explosive devices. The hotel did not evacuate either its staff or guests and is continuing to work as usual.
