FALSE ALARM IN THE MOSCOW UNDERGROUND








MOSCOW, 7 March, 2001 /Corr. RIA Novosti/ -- The capital's law-enforcement bodies have informed RIA Novosti that an object discovered today at the Oktyabryskaya underground station was not an explosive device.


	The suspicious object was noticed at 10.30 local time. A source said that police arrived at the scene, along with rescuers, ambulances and cynologists with sniffer dogs. The package was then found to be safe.
