INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND INTENDS TO COOPERATE WITH NEW MOLDAVIA AUTHORITIES CHISINAU, 6 March. /RIA Novosti correspondent Georgy Stoylik/. The letter sent by Richard Haas, an IMF department director, to Vladimir Voronin, leader of communists of Moldavia and received on Tuesday stated that the International Monetary Fund intended to continue cooperation with new authorities of Moldavia. Haas congratulated Voronin and his party with the victory at the pre-term parliamentary elections. The IMF Department director confirmed that the IMF mission intended to visit Moldavia from 25 April till 9 May to monitor the process of implementation of the programme against poverty and to familiarize itself with the economic situation in the republic. The letter emphasizes that the subsequent financing of the republic will be dependent on the implementation of the terms and conditions of the Memorandum signed by the IMF and government of Moldavia at the end of last year.
